Thompson Rivers University Events Calendar

The Thompson Rivers University Events Calendar provides a comprehensive listing of university-related events taking place on and off campus.

The calendar is a useful resource for event planners and attendees. It provides detailed information about events related to students, staff and faculty. It also contains events held on and off campus that are sponsored by organizations not directly affiliated with TRU but are still university related.

You can participate in making our campus a more vibrant and exciting place to learn, work and visit by:

Submitting Events

Submit events to us using the online form.

Submissions will appear in the calendar once approved by the Marketing and Communications department.

You are responsible for the content, accuracy and completeness of your submission. Provide as much detail as possible.

If we find any content inappropriate, we will contact you and ask that the material be edited. Postings cannot include profanity, references to unauthorized use of alcoholic beverages or any material contrary to the mission of Thompson Rivers University.

Submissions must adhere to TRU’s Responsible Use of Information Technology Facilities and Services Policy (BRD 16-0).

Submitting Photos

To encourage participation and showcase our campus life, we encourage you to share your photos from any TRU event. If we find them as great as you, we will post them on our TRU flickr page. We believe that this is a pretty great place and want your help showing it off!

By sending us your photos, you authorize Thompson Rivers University to display your photographs on this Event Calendar, our TRU flickr site and any other TRU related web sites.

Scheduling Venues

Sending us your event will not reserve or book venues. Scheduling of venues is a separate process and must be done through established university procedures. There are several ways to book rooms or reserve space at TRU.

Weddings, conferences, meetings, performances and other large space events can be booked through the TRU Conference Centre
Room bookings can be made through the Admissions and Registration department
Spaces in the TRU Gym can be booked through the Athletics department
Rooms in the Library can be booked through the Library!

Appropriate Events

We will normally decline posting certain events:

events not open to the TRU community or the public
off campus events not sponsored by a campus organization
recurring organizational meetings
class and computer lab schedules

Please adhere to all TRU policies when using this calendar. We also ask that you comply with any local, provincial or federal laws that could also apply.
